1- Dope of different textures and brands are added to bitumen, thereby enhancing bitumen’s adhesive performance. Agitation (mixing) is generally realized through recirculation within the asphalt sprayer and relay tank. This assures a homogeneous mixture.

2- Hand dosing exposes the operator/worker to volatile compounds which are harmful in terms of occupational health and safety. These compounds must be allowed to be present in the ambient air.
